My Review
MY TESTIMONY TREE is a sweet book about the parable of the seeds and how that represents spiritual testimonies. The illustrations are fantastic and fit the script perfectly. The story is easy to read and also very relatable. The message of growing our faith, how choices impact that faith, that it's okay to struggle, and that God and Jesus will help us is perfect. Definitely a book to add to LDS families' shelves!
I really liked this book. The words and illustrations go well together, which isn't always the case. The words aren't too lengthy and get the message across in a very relatable way. The illustrations are eye-catching and delightful to look at and are perfect for the targeted audience.
I think my only suggested change would be to have a line or two on each illustrated page instead of having several lines together on the opposite page to the illustration. I just know that when reading and turning pages with kids it works best that way.
In the end, was it what I wished for? This is a delightful book! It shares a message that is definitely relatable and pertinent to children.
