I've grabbed some favorite covers to share with you today that were released back in August and September. As I have put this post together, I've noticed a little bit of a trend. There seems to have been quite a few books that grabbed my eye that are on the darker and more mysterious side, and that have red, white, and/or black in their covers. Here they all are (clicking on the covers will take you to Goodreads):
A Little Something Different by Sandy Hall: This cover is just super cute. I love the tree with the books and other things in it. Just fun and sweet!
Illusions of Fate by Kiersten White: I loved this cover the first time I saw it. I love it for its colors, for the old vintage ring she's wearing, the way she's beginning to smile or smirk, and how the crows are flying out of the cup. I also ended up loving the book. You can see my review here.
Winterspell by Claire Legrand: Just love, love, love this cover! It looks a little fairy-tale-ish, but with a darkness to it. The synopsis also definitely pulled me in. This is one that I'll definitely be reading.

Fiendish by Brenna Yovanoff: This is a book that's not for me, but I think the cover is just amazing. It's also super creepy. There is no way would I ever enter that house!
Kiss of Broken Glass by Madeleine Kuderick: I love the font and the colors. I do have a thing for red, white, and black together. I also love how there is broken glass flying across the edge of the book. Very cool.
Winterkill by Kate A. Boorman: This is another cover that I immediately loved. I love the play off of Little Red Riding Hood, the colors (again those same three), and how the title of the book is written into the fence. Completely creative and perfect for this story, which I ended up really enjoying. You can see my review here.
Remember Me by Romily Bernard: I love the way the words make up the picture. It totally fits these books that deal with an MC who is a computer hacker. Love the colors too. Yep. Another red, white, and black cover. I also loved reading this one. You can read my review here.
The Perilous Sea by Sherry Thomas: I loved the first book's cover for this series too. I love fantasy and this just screams it. I love the covers and how the title has to do with the sea and the way the water looks.
Blackbird by Anna Carey: This is another cover that intrigued me the first time I saw it. It has those same three sweet colors. It just looks like a good suspense novel.

Can't Let You Go by Jenny B. Jones: If you missed my raving review, you should go check it out here. This cover is just sweet. I love the filter on the cover that makes it look a little historic. I love the bag tag and the airplane in the back, which definitely fits the story. And that almost kiss... Normally I don't really go for those too much, but this one I love.
Lark Rising by Sandra Waugh: I am a fantasy lover and I love how the vines appear alive with them threaded around her arm and the landscape. It's just a great fantasy/fairy tale cover.
Do you like any of these covers? Have you read any of them? Do you have a favorite you'd like to share?
